For great surfing holidays in France, you'll need to head to the west coast. The fabulous waves of the Atlantic Ocean along France's west and south west coasts are a favourite of professional surfers across the world. So, whether you are body boarding or surfing, a beginner or have bags of experience, many Siblu holiday parks are close to beaches where you can find great waves to ride.

Surfing Holidays in France

As mentioned, France is a particular favourite for surfers, with the west coast offering long stretches of golden beach with great rollers to catch, all year round. The surf gets gradually bigger the further south you go, as a general rule. From the Vendee region, in particular the beach at St Jean de Monts, down to the Charente Maritime and the famous Cote Sauvage and the furthest part of south west France at Mimizan and Biaritz.

Great Surf Locations in France

For the more advanced surfer, then you'll do no better than the south west coast, Mimizan and Biaritz. The surf is strong, particularly in early and late season. If you are more intermediate or beginner than try the Cote Sauvage near La Palmyre and Saint Jean de Monts in the Vendee.
