There's Lake Aureilhan on your doorstep and less than 3 kilometers from the centre of Mimizan there are long beautiful sandy beaches perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or surfing.  Mimizan's beaches are among the most beautiful on the Atlantic coast. On Lake Aureilhan, you can try out activities like paddleboarding, kayaking, or fishing. Don't miss the famous flowered promenade along Lake Aureilhan, known for its colourful gardens and diverse plant species.

For the more adventurous, set off to explore the numerous hiking trails and cycling paths through the Landes forest. You can also delve into the region's history by visiting the Marquèze open-air eco-museum, located in the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park.
