Just a few minutes from our seaside campsite in the Landes region, the beaches of Mimizan stretch on either side of the current that connects the waters of Lake Aureilhan to the ocean.

North of the mouth of the Mimizan current and its small dunes, the ocean beaches of Remember and des Ailes are accessible in less than 5 minutes by bike and about 15 minutes on foot.

Ideal for families with children, Plage du Courant offers calmer waters and a pleasant southern orientation. You can reach it in just 10 minutes on foot or 3 minutes by bike—as convenient as direct access.

If you want to try the surf spots located south of the current and enjoy a slightly wilder landscape, head to Plage Sud, which is opposite the town center. It's easily accessible thanks to the bridge on Boulevard des Pêcheurs, which crosses the Mimizan current. The trip takes 5 minutes by bike and less than 20 minutes on foot.
