Corporate Social Responsibility at Siblu

Siblu takes our corporate and social responsibilities seriously, and we have outlined the principles we follow in a CSR Charter for all our employees and partners. The Charter provides a simple reference point that allows us to judge each operational decision or strategic action taken by the Group, helping us to prioritise the actions we take.

By adopting a CSR Charter, Siblu recognises that we must look beyond our financial performance, to ensure any activity we take is not done to the detriment of our customers, employees, partners or the environment.

CSR Charter

Siblu's CSR Charter aims to summarize, for all employees and partners of the Siblu Group, the key principles guiding its business practices in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In line with the Group’s Purpose and Values, the CSR Charter serves as a reference for evaluating every operational or strategic decision made by the Group. It helps prioritize actions that align with the Charter and avoid those that clearly contradict its expressed intentions, based on the principle of “what I must always do/what I must never do.”

The CSR Charter, Purpose, and Values are complementary references for thought and action in Siblu’s business management. The topics covered in the CSR Charter are diverse, and whenever possible, each topic is connected to one of Siblu’s Values and extends its Purpose.

By adopting a CSR Charter, Siblu acknowledges that beyond its financial performance, which has sustained its solvency, longevity, and independence for over 40 years, a more holistic measure of its actions is necessary. This ensures that its financial achievements do not come at the expense of its clients, employees, partners, and/or the environment.

By prioritizing the term “CSR,” Siblu refers to the French definition of non-financial reporting materialized through a Non-Financial Performance Statement and a Vigilance Plan. Their respective indexes serve as the framework for this Charter.

A version in English, translated as “CSR Corporate Social Responsibility,” will be provided.

CSR Governance and Application of the Charter

To ensure the effectiveness of the CSR Charter’s principles within Siblu, the Group has established a CSR Committee. Under the responsibility of the General Director, this Committee is composed of 3 to 5 members and meets at least four times a year, reporting to the Group’s Supervisory Board.

The primary responsibilities of the CSR Committee are:

  • Monitoring CSR topics to inform Group leaders about emerging trends (operational, technological, regulatory)
  • Ensuring that the Group’s strategic directions, decision-making processes, and resulting actions are consistent with the CSR Charter
  • Collecting, analyzing, and ensuring the accuracy of information and indicators necessary for publishing a Non-Financial Performance Statement

The Committee’s resources include:

  • Direct authority from the Supervisory Board to obtain any information or documents from the Executive Committees in each country, within reasonably defined timeframes
  • A dedicated budget, approved by the Supervisory Board, that can be used to acquire technical or human resources needed for its mission

Each year, the CSR Committee must report its activities to the Supervisory Board and propose a renewal or amendment of the CSR Charter.

The CSR Committee is distinct and independent from the Audit Committee.
